Our Santa Clarita Unit of NASW-CA, Region G is preparing for the holiday season with a CEU TRAINING: How to Prepare Our Clients (and Ourselves) for the Holidays after Loss by Richard Posalski, LCSW, LMFT. Please join us on 10/22/19 at 6:30pm for our networking and training meeting hosted at Henry Mayo Hospital in the Henry Mayo Center, room E3. Course objectives include: Recognizing triggers: calendar, anticipation, anniversaries, tradition, family; Grief is the internal feelings and mourning is our external expressions; How to change focus, seek comforting people, and eliminate extra stressors; Planning ahead with protective factors, embracing memories/legacy; Questions and Answers; and Feedback/Evaluation of the training. This course meets the qualifications for 1 hour of continuing credit for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
