2025 Social Workers L.E.A.D.

NASW-NM is thrilled to invite you to Social Work LEAD, our Legislative Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD) designed for social work professionals! Save the date for this virtual event on Thursday, January 30, 2025, where social workers throughout the state of California will learn about legislative advocacy and join NASW-CA in continuing our lobbying efforts for state-level policy change. Participants will earn CEUs.

This year, our main priority is to lobby support for the Social Work Licensure Compact, a crucial initiative aimed at increasing licensing mobility for social workers nationwide.

Join us for:

• Engaging discussions, including the NASW-CA’s advocacy platform and how to continue to be involved and engaged year-round
• Networking opportunities with fellow social work professionals throughout California
• Training on macro social work, influencing policy, lobbying for state-level policy change, and advocating for issues that matter to our field

As an attendee of this event, you will have the opportunity to meet virtually via Zoom with a priority legislator and/or their staff for approximately 15–30 minutes on the afternoon of Thursday, January 30th. Appointments are still being confirmed.
